 Colossal statue of "COATLICUE" (she of the Serpent Skirt) with Twin SERPENT HEADS and built by

the AZTEC  INDIANS at TENOCHTITLAN.  This horrendous sculpture when uncovered in 1790 by the 

Spaniards was reburied in disgust.  Immolated hearts, human entrails, skulls and limbs adorn

 this Deity Goddess which represents Procreation and Rebirth  as much as  it does Death.  MDF
