it is different in shape and structure that the rest of the ancient
city. |

In plan it resembles and
arrow point with the stairways as its base,it is crossed by a
vaulted tunnel suggesting it may have |
|
been used as an
observatory. Carved slabs found outsidewith glyphs and inverted heads
suggest the structure may have |
|
been a triumphal record of
conquered settlements under Monte Alban Period II. |
